The Journey

Everyone has a purpose, a journey they must follow, known as life. My personal journey, known as life is and always will be a rocky path. You go through challenges, struggles, and all kinds of emotions.
As of August 16th, a new journey started for me with new challenges and struggles, of which I have already overcome several, all the while trying to better myself into a better Christian, as well as a better person. God is just testing me and I realize that. I know He will be right beside me in my deepest darkest storm.
Being away from loved enters been just one of those challenges; it will continue to be one. Knowing I can’t just call my mom or a friend and go see them and catch up, as I would normally do when I am at home, is probably the most awful feeling. Yet, I know I know I have a family here, full of people I can lean on and know I can trust them anything. In the Disney movie, Lilo and Stich, there is a phrase they say to encourage each other through the hard times, Ohana. “Ohana means family, family means no one is left behind or forgotten.” Family is family blood or not. I miss home, but I know this is where God wants me to be
For this portion of my journey, God has given me this family, and I am grateful.
